Little moments, carried home

SeeBee is a private app that keeps families in the loop with photos, videos and daily reports from their caregivers.

Who do you care for?

Example: Pinwheel Lane Daycare

Share their day with the people who love them.

For daycares, learning programs, senior homes and pet care services. Each family sees only the cards meant for them.

    Summary
Built the tallest tower in the room and called it Grandma’s house.
    Napping
An hour and a half after lunch.
    Meals
All of the pasta, half the pear.

Staff post photos, videos, daily reports and alerts from their own phone.

A new card from staff without publishing rights waits as a draft until a manager, or a colleague with publishing rights who works with that child, publishes it. Staff can’t publish until a manager turns that on.

Families get an email when a card about their child is published, and a text message for alerts if they’ve given a mobile number. When a family opens a card or taps Got it, thanks!, staff see “Seen by a guardian”.

Try it

Press the buttons. Nothing is sent anywhere. In the app, a card reaches the family only once it’s published, and staff see “Seen by a guardian” the next time their list loads.

  • What managers and staff get

    Approve first
Staff can’t publish until a manager turns it on, so their new cards wait as drafts until someone who can publish checks them.
    Post once
Staff send a card to one or several of the children they care for; managers can send it to a group or to everyone. Each child gets their own copy.
    Seen by a guardian
See which cards a family has opened or acknowledged.
    Your own words
Your own report fields, and your own word for those you care for, such as children, learners, residents or pets. SeeBee sets them up for you.
    When a child leaves
Managers archive them and download a zip: a PDF of each published card, plus the videos. Their cards are then hidden from everyone, guardians included. On QueenBee.
    No app store
Add SeeBee to your phone’s home screen from the browser. Cards you’ve opened recently stay readable offline.
    Easy to read
Built to WCAG 2.2 AA for staff and families alike, with body text set in Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, a typeface drawn for readers with low vision. SeeBee follows the phone’s own reduced motion and high contrast settings.

Our nine year old son has autism, and he has been working with therapists since he was two years old.

SeeBee is far and away the best communication system we have encountered. We love the daily, detailed interaction with our son's therapists. It makes generalizing what he learns at school every day so much easier because we have a clear understanding of what he has been working on even before he gets home. We find out about his mood and challenges in addition to any pertinent information.

We also have the opportunity to share what is happening in the evenings and on week-ends with his therapists through our own postings, and to post questions or concerns. This helps our son's team have the whole picture when they are developing programming for him. We share our pictures too, and we enjoy seeing pictures of our son's daily activities. When prompted by a picture from the day, our son communicates more fluently about what he did.

SeeBee is also an effective tool because anyone involved in our son's life can participate. Our oldest son and our babysitter both use the SeeBee account to learn more about how to support our son. SeeBee connects all the people supporting our son in one place.

SeeBee has been such a wonderful addition to the way we communicate with our families.

I think it helps to really capture key moments in the day for parents to be a part of. I think it’s great that parents are able to get immediate feedback and can also reply immediately as well.

    • Stephanie, Instructor Therapist

I have thoroughly enjoyed using SeeBee to document our learners progress throughout the day and communicate with parents and guardians!

SeeBee is very user friendly and a great communication tool!

My five year old son currently attends a centre for special needs and it was always a priority for me to understand how his day is structured, what his programs are, what his strengths and weaknesses are etc.

He has been to a number of centres before the current one; however, the majority of the centres did not provide any kind of communication log and the last centre he attended provided a hand written communication log that I was not fond of filling out at night when the kids are back home and things are very hectic. Hence, this is the first time that I have experienced an online communication tool from my son's school and if I may say, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!

Overall, SeeBee is an incredible online communication tool that I would recommend to any parent out there. It is a simple, interactive, quick and convenient tool to track your child's progress throughout the day and to correspond with his teachers.

Thank you SeeBee for making this experience a very positive one!!

I love SeeBee! The technology is very user friendly.

SeeBee allows for easy communication between all staff members and myself (a parent).

Staff provide daily updates regarding my son and his progress at school. The technology allows his teachers to instantly inform me of updates regarding his programming and let me know of any new developments at the centre. For example, they can formally introduce new staff members through the site or inform me if my son needs anything specific for school.

I can post notes to let his teachers know about my son’s mood, what he ate, how he slept, etc. SeeBee has many unique features, including the ability to post photographs. I love to actually see my son engage in activities throughout his day.

My son also loves to look through all his pictures on SeeBee! The photos help him recall the events of his school day and they encourage us to have some great conversations that we would not have had otherwise.

Let’s get buzzing

Tell us a little about your centre and we’ll be in touch.
